BS in Cybersecurity

The BS in Cybersecurity program at California Baptist University equips professionals to address emerging 21st-century challenges. The online degree program will provide students with the knowledge and skill set to compete in a progressive and competitive information security environment.


The program prepares students for the following career paths: Security Engineer, Security Analyst, Information Security Analyst, Systems Administrator, Network Administrator and Senior Systems Administrator. This program aligns with essential concepts and learning outcomes identified by the Joint Task Force on Cybersecurity Education. It fulfills the academic requirements of the National Security Agency / Department of Homeland Security National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CD) program.

Computer and Network Security

This course covers modern computer and network security procedures, the ability to recognize attacks and best practices for process countermeasures. Students will learn how to process the authentication, identification, data secrecy, data integrity, authorization, access control, computer viruses and more.

Computer Forensics

This course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the cybersecurity incident response lifecycle successfully. Topics covered include response preparation, incident detection, data collection, data analysis, remediation and legal compliance.

Cybersecurity Management

This course explores the theories, concepts and methodologies related to organizational security. Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required for success regarding the following topics: component procurement, identity management, cybersecurity planning and more.
