BS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Diagnostic medical sonographers specialize in radiologic sciences, using high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images of the body to diagnose medical conditions. California Baptist University's Diagnostic Medical Sonography program equips students with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to perform ultrasound imaging procedures in various healthcare settings. Through comprehensive coursework and training with advanced imaging technology, students develop expertise in anatomy, physiology, pathology and patient care while ensuring sonographic equipment's safe and effective use.


CBU’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography program equips students with in-depth knowledge of anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy and pathology while developing proficiency in operating advanced imaging technology. Through hands-on training in both ambulatory and hospital settings, students will learn to provide professional, compassionate patient care. Echocardiography I

This course focuses on normal anatomy, scan techniques, cardiac measurement and new dynamics. Course material will provide basic instruction and scanning principles related to echocardiography.

Ob-Gyn Sonography

This course focuses on technical procedures related to Obstetrics-Gynencological (Ob-Gyn) scanning techniques, fetal anatomy and pathologies, and gynecological anatomy and pathologies.

Clinical Practice – Cardiac Sonography I

In this practicum course, learners will analyze and apply evidence-based clinical practice of cardiac sonography.
